Ireland's only known resident group of about 80 bottlenosed dolphins
live in the Shannon Estuary. These magnificent mamals can be observed,
on most days, feeding, travelling or playing. They may be seen to jump
clear out of the water or swim along with the boats. The often enjoy
riding the bow wave. Every encounter is different and is determined
by the dolphins themselves.
Dolphin watching trips operate daily from Carrigaholt pier and Kilrush Marina.

The Cliffs of Kilkee and the Bridges of Ross are some of West Clare's best kept secrets. These stunning and
magnificent coastlines make for breathtaking scenery. The cliffs themselves are not a well known tourist attraction.
This means that you can enjoy the natural beauty of these areas in relative tranquility, away from the hustle of the more popular attractions.
